RedRum: To Be Or Not To Be
Red orange comfy tank from the Gap, given a new life with a screenprinted skull on the back. The skull image was part of a demo transparency, included in a book about screenprinting. I used the design to rescue clothes that would otherwise end
in a landfill.
In this case, I printed on the back of a GAP “Modern Tank” top — turning it into a collector’s item.
From my archives to yours. As I’ve given this tank top new life, I’m reminded that its story doesn’t have to end with me. If it no longer feels like yours one day? Resell. Upcycle. Add another print to it, paint on it, cut it up. Let it live again...
