Resurrected Tank: To Be Or Not To Be
Camisole tank top with an image of a skull screenprinted on the back.
The skull image was part of a demo transparency, included in a book about screenprinting. I used the design to rescue clothes that would otherwise most likely end up in a landfill.
In this case, I printed on the back of a Primark camisole tank top -an article of fast fashion- turning it into a collector’s item.
From my archives to yours.
As I've given this tank top new life, I'm reminded that its story doesn't have to end with me. If it no longer feels like yours one day? Resell. Upcycle. Add another print to it, paint on it, cut it up. Let it live again...
